Natural Recipes For Homemade Facial Cleansers


Natural homemade facial cleansers are the best way to get clean skin without the damaging effects of of harsh chemicals found in a lot of skin care products.

Keeping our skin clean is very important to it's health, but equally important is how and with what we clean our face.

These recipes are not only proven to deep clean but they will not dry or irritate your face's sensitive skin.

When using these recipes always massage very gently in small circular motions. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Being rough on your skin can permanently damage it and later on cause sagging and wrinkles.

Below are homemade facial cleansers for every skin type. Test out which one is best suited for you and make it step one in your skin care routine!



Natural Cleansers For All Skin Types

Rejuvenating Cleanser

  • One green tea bag boiled and cooled
  • 2 tablespoons cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt

Let cornmeal soak in green tea and yogurt for about 10 minutes. Mix well. Will refridgerate for 3-4 days.


Almond Milk Cleanser

  • 1/8 cup ground almonds
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Use a food processor or coffee grinder to grind up almonds. Mix well.


Stimulating Cleanser

  • 1 ripe tomato
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons citrus juice of your choice

Blend until smooth in blender or food processor.


Kiwi Cleanser

  • 1 kiwi peeled
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon almond oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon finely ground almonds

Mix together to form a paste.




Homemade Facial Cleansers For Dry Skin

Cucumber Yogurt Cleanser

  • 1/4 cucumber peeled and juiced
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons cooked oatmeal

Mix ingredients together well.


Honey and Cream Cleanser

  • 1 tablespoon oat or rice bran
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cream

Heat slightly in microwave to combine ingredients. Mix together well and apply while warm.


Almond Mayonnaise Scrub

  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1/8 teaspoon mayonnaise

Grind together in food processor until paste. apply to face and leave on 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.


Intense Healing And Protecting, Moisturizing cleanser

  • 1 large aloe vera leaf peeled
  • 1 sliced peeled papaya
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Mix together well in food processor or blender. Leave on skin 20 minutes. Gently rinse with warm water.


Moisturizing cleanser

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 grapes
  • 1 teaspoon milk

Mix together in food processor.


Chamomile Dry Sensitive Skin Cleanser

  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons chamomile flowers (fresh or dried)

Heat ingredients but do not boil. Let cool and can be kept in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.



Homemade Facial Cleansers For Oily Skin

Fennel Facial Cleanser

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons crushed fennel

Heat ingredients together over double boiler for 30 minutes but do not let boil. Cool, strain and refridgerate for up to 2 weeks.


Oily Skin Cleanser

  • 1 teaspoon milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Few drops of apple cidar vinegar

Mix ingredients together well.
