Natural Acne Recipes That Clear And Prevent Acne Breakouts


Below are natural acne recipes for cleansers, toners, facial masks and moisturizers. These recipes are all you need to get clear, healthy skin and it won't cost you a small fortune!

Natural Acne Recipes

Keeping your skin clean without stripping it of all it's beneficial oils is always a daunting task when you have acne prone skin. Fortunately nature has provided us with cleansers and toners that deep clean, restore our skin's ph balance and leave your skin moisturized with out drying and damaging it. Find the right recipe for your skin!


Vinegar Honey Toner

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

Use a cotton ball to wipe over entire face. Will store for 3 days.


White Wine And Rosemary Toner

  • 1 teaspoon dry rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dry thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup white wine

Gently boil herbs in wine for about 10 minutes. Cool and strain through cheesecloth. Use cotton ball to apply to entire face.


Aloe Vera Toner

  • 1 small aloe vera leaf peeled and mashed
  • 1 teaspoon citrus juice

This toner not only heals but is effective in preventing acne scarring and fading acne spots. Use a cotton balls to apply to entire face.


Cucumber Apple Toner

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cucumber pureed and strained

Use a cotton ball to apply to entire face.



Facial Mask Acne Recipes

These masks will pull dirt and toxins from deep within your skin. Use one of these recipes once or twice a week in your skin care program and be well on your way to clear skin.


Baking Soda Bran Mask

  • 1/4 cup bran (ground oatmeal would work too)
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • enough distilled water to make a paste

Apply to face and let sit for 15 - 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water an pat dry.


SandalWood Mask

  • 1 tablespoon sandalwood paste
  • rose water

Add enough rose water to paste so that it is spreadable. Apply to face and leave on 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.


Egg White Mask

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour

Mix to form a paste. Apply to entire face and leave 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.


Almond Mask

  • 2 tablespoons almond powder
  • rose water

Mix enough rose water into almond powder to make a spreadable paste. Apply to entire face and leave 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.


Acne Clay Mask

  • 2 tablespoons cosmetic clay
  • 3 teaspoons plain yogurt
  • 2 drops lemongrass oil
  • 2 drops tea tree oil

Mix into a smooth paste. Apply to entire face and leave 25 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.


Honey Almond Mask

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 teaspoon jojoba oil
  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt

Mix together until smooth. Apply to face and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.


Refreshing Acne Mask

  • 1/2 cup finely ground oatmeal
  • 1/2 ripe apple
  • 1/4 cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Mix all ingredients in blender or food processor until smooth. Apply to entire face and leave 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.


Acne Mask For Oily Skin

  • 2 tablespoons apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon brewers yeast
  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Mix ingredients together and apply to entire face. Leave 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.


Nutrient Packed Acne Mask

  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 fresh papaya
  • 1 teaspoon apple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon crushed chamomile flower
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped mint

Mix all ingredients in blender or food proccesser until smooth. Apply to entire face and leave 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.



Moisturizing Acne Recipes

These recipes may take a little longer to prepare but are well worth it. These moisturizes will heal and rejuvenate leaving you with soft smooth skin.


Acne Moisturizing Cream

  • 4 teaspoons jojoba oil
  • 2 tablespoons emulsifying wax
  • 1/3 cup witch hazel
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera
  • 5 drops lavender oil
  • 3 drops bergamot oil
  • 1 drop geranium oil
  • 5 drops grapefruit seed extract
  • 2 Vitamin E capsules

Place grape seed oil and wax over double boiler until melted and then add Vitamin E oil. In separate pot gently warm witch hazel. While constantly whisking slowly add oil and wax mixture. When ingredients are well mixed and creamy add essential oils and grapefruit extract. Store in glass jar in a cool dark place. Shake before each use.


Simple Acne Moisturizer

  • 3 tablespoons jojoba oil
  • 2 Vitamin E capsule
  • 2 teaspoons beeswax granules
  • 1 tablespoon distilled water
  • 10 drops of an acne fighting essential oil

Heat beeswax and oil over double boiler until melted and let cool to just above room temperature. Pour warmed water into mixture and whip until emulsified. (smooth and creamy) Add Vitamin E and essential oil or oils until creamy and a nice spreadable consistancy.


Both of these moisturizers are very concentrated so a little goes a long way. With these recipes you are moisturizing and fighting acne at the same time!
